YouTube mobile application now includes chat option

YouTube Chat

The YouTube messaging application is all set to enter the market amid the existing mobile applications like Snapchat, Facebook, Hike, Whatsapp and many more.

A recent report published by Small Business Trends, a technology news website, mentioned that the application is currently opened only for a few individuals who can add and invite others by adding them to a conversation thread. The application is designed in a way that would allow the users to share videos and discuss them at the same place.

However, YouTube had a 'send message' option under the 'discussions' tab on the website, allowing the user to send private messages to another, but this update would ease the same. The users will not have to copy and paste the URLs to other messaging platforms to share videos with their contacts. The new update’s extensive feature would be embedding the videos in the chat.

According to Wired, a technology news website, the director of product management at YouTube Shimrit Ben-Yair said, the update was designed to integrate the sharing of videos and a proper channel to do so would be beneficial.

The new feature on YouTube might be an add-on for the business opportunities for the company as they can keep their one billion users glued to their mobile phones while watching videos, sharing those and discussing in conversation threads.
