In another leak, tipster Roland Quandt and have revealed some information about the upcoming alleged Redmi 5 series. Going by the leaks, the Redmi 5 will be made available in three variants namely Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus. This isn't surprising as the lineup looks similar to the Redmi 4 series.

We've seen Xiaomi launch the Redmi 4A, Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4. We've also seen the Xiaomi Note 5A. So, it is likely that we see a similar Redmi 5 series of devices. Interestingly, there is also a Plus variant, which is speculated to come with more power specs compared to others. There is no clarity on whether it will also get a larger display.

Meanwhile, the Note 5 is expected to come witha 5.5-inch full HD display with 401 ppi (pixel density), Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, Android Nougat-based MIUI 9, 3GB/4GB RAM, a 32GB/64GB storage, dual 16MP rear snapper and 4,000mAh battery for a Redmi Note 5. In another leak, one can expect a 16MP rear snapper and the front could get a 13MP snapper. On the other hand, there has been speculation over a dual rear snapper.
