Xiaomi Mi Max 2 coming to India on 18 July: 6.4-inch display, 5300mAh battery and more

Xiaomi is all set to take the wraps off an all-new device on 18 July. The invite we've received for the event hints with 'Big is back' and calls it a new category launched last year. So, it is quite likely to be the successor to the Mi Max, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, that was unveiled in May.
The Mi Max 2 comes with a larger battery, improved camera and more RAM compared to the Mi Max that was launched last year. he Xiaomi Mi Max also sports a large 6.44-inch display, just like its predecessor. It comes with a full metal unibody design that promises improved one hand use.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the storage, it offers 64GB and 128GB onboard storage options. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat with a layer of MIUI 8 atop.
The device comes fitted with a 12MP (Sony IMX386 sensor) rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera. On the back, the company has included a fingerprint scanner. The device also gets USB Type C port. Finally, a large 5300mAh batter fuels the device, promising 2 days of battery life. The device also supports Quick charge 3.0 and parallel charging.
In China, the 4GB + 64GB variant of the Mi Max 2 is priced at RMB1699 in China, which is approximately Rs 15,900. The 4GB + 128GB unit is priced at RMB 1999 that translates to roughly Rs 18,700. It is quite possible that the company may maintain a similar price range.
