With Diwali just around the corner, it has been raining discounts. The mobile phone segment on Flipkart as well as Amazon have been offering some attractive discounts, and now here's yet another jaw-dropping deal on a Xiaomi phone.

Xiaomi had launched the Mi Max 2 in the Indian market earlier this year. The device is now available for a discounted price as low as Rs 999 on Flipkart. It should be noted that the device was launched at Rs 16,999.

Flipkart is offering a flat Rs 2000 off on the device, which means its price will be down to Rs 14,999. Furthermore, the device will get a price cut of up to Rs 14,000 further on exchange. This means it will be available for Rs 999.

Flipkart is also offering 10 percent cashback if the payment is done using Axis Bank credit and debit cards and additional 5 percent off using Axis Bank Buzz credit card. On paying via PhonePe, users will get 20% cashback.

The Mi Max 2 sports a large 6.44-inch display, just like its predecessor. It comes with a full metal unibody design that promises improved one hand use. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the storage, it offers 64GB onboard storage options. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat with a layer of MIUI 8 atop.

The device comes fitted with a 12MP (Sony IMX386 sensor) rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera. On the back, the company has included a fingerprint scanner. The device also gets USB Type C port. Finally, a large 5300mAh batter fuels the device, promising 2 days of battery life. The device also supports Quick charge 3.0 and parallel charging.
