WhatsApp down in India: Some users unable to send, receive messages

There are reports about a massive WhatsApp outage. Users have begun facing problems across the world including India, USA, Sri Lanka and Sri lanka.
Independent website DownDetector had said that 60 per cent of customers are having issue connecting to it. 25 percent users reported issues receiving messages while 14 percent were struggling to login. Many have taken to twitter to vent out their frustration and #whatsappdown has started trending. In fact, some Twitter users decided to show the fun side to it.

Some other countries that have reported the outage are Ireland, Russia, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Israel, Spain, Malaysia, Kenya, Turkey, Italy, Egypt and Serbia. The popular messaging service has been tight lipped about what is causing the massive outage.
