In the bid to take on Jio and other telcos, Vodafone has announced 36GB of data free over the next twelve months as a 'token of appreciation'. It will be offered only for 4G users, and those still on 2G/3G will have to upgrade their SIM to avail of this offer. 

 

Depending upon their plan, users can either opt for 9Gb data per month for three months, amounting to 27GB data overall. Eligible users will get 3GB data per month for 12 months, amounting to 36GB free 4G data. The new free data is being offered as token of appreciation. Here's  how you can avail of this free data offer.

To get started, Vodafone users with an active 4G SIM can visit this page. You will find a box wherein you need to key in your mobile number. Once you enter the mobile number, it Vodafone will send an SMS with an OTP. 

Vodafone users will have to enter their four digit One Time Password (OTP) and you get the option to opt in. As a Red plan users, some received 9GB of data per month in addition to the 5GB 4G data/month. And, others could opt for the 36GB data plan, 3GB/month. 

 

The website will then confirm the offer and you will receive a confirmation once the offer is activated in around 30 minutes.
