Sex life to expensive chocolates: Researchers reveal the impact of climate change

Climate change is real! The impact is far worse then what you may have thought. Get ready for a world that will change more than you may have imagined and also in ways you may have never imagined.

Cocoa production has been slipping down a slippery slope. About 50 percent of the cocoa is contributed by cocoa farmers in West Africa. And, the rising temperatures are responsible for it. When International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (via Thetelegraph)  called on cocoa farmers in West Africa to find an alternative solution. Its newer methods that will need to be implemented to combat the impact of rising temperature, which will be expensive, making cocoa production expensive and eventually chocolates expensive in the coming years.

Climate change impacts your sex life and fertility
The rise in temperature could be affecting your sex drive. Heat stress is believed to decrease fertility rates in men as well as women. University of California Santa Barbara report (via TheNewIndianExpress) studied fertility and temperature data of the past 80 years and found a drop in birth rates nine months after every spell of hot days. 

Climate change led to farmer suicides in India
Around 59000 farmer suicides in the past 30 years could be because of rising temperatures. There has been a correlation between the increase in temperature, dropping yields and suicides. A report by researchers at the University of California Berkeley analysed crop yield, climate and suicide data from 29 Indian states and published a report stating how climate change may have led to the suicide.
