The design is expected to be similar to the edge variant. This means dual edge displays are in the offing. One of the strong rumours have been about the missing front button. With the front button gone, the fingerprint scanner would most likely move to the rear side below the camera sensor. It plans to bring in the 3D Touch technology that will help the display work as a home button with long presses.

Camera
The camera are expected to not come with much changes, as per reports. So, a 12MP camera with Dual Pixel technology with 4K shooting ability can be expected. There have been reports claiming the S8 can shoot 1000fps videos.

Water resistance
Just like the previous models, the company will maintain the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Chipset and OS
An Exynos 9 is rumoured to come fitted into the Galaxy S8, while the Snapdragon 835 will be left for the Note 8. However, there is no concrete report confirming this. It will be coupled with 4GB RAM, contrary to the previous reports alleging 6GB and 8GB RAM. It will run Android Nougat along with Samsung Knox security, S-Pay and other Samsung apps.

Virtual Assistant - Bixby

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will come with Bixby, the new virtual assistant that Samsung is said to be working on. There would be a direct launch button for Bixby, but Google Assistant will also come built-in with the device.

The highly anticipated smartphone is slated for a launch on 29 March in New York city.  It will be further hitting stores by 15 April. The device are speculated to carry almost similar price tags to the Galaxy S7.
