Reliance JioFiber coming this Diwali expect 100GB data at Rs 500

According to a report in The Economic Times, citing people familiar with the matter, JioFiber is likely to be launched by Diwali, and will offer 100GB data for Rs 500. It will offer 100Mbps speeds when launched.

This is in contrast to the earlier reports that hinted at June launch. If the report is to be believed that Jio's base price of Rs 500 for 100GB is almost half the price of what rivals are offering.

The JioFiber network will reportedly be rolled out in 10 cities, including all metros. Recently, it was known that the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, Vasanthnagar Sub-Divison, had filed an FIR with JC Nagar Police against Reliance Jio for damaging the road at Nandi Durga Road Extension in Bengaluru.

"This OFC (Optic Fiber Cable) is a menace all over Bengaluru, any agency which violates the law and damages roads will be stopped, and the amount of security deposit will be deducted," said Vijay Kumar, Chief Engineer, OFC.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad is said to be the first Indian city to get 1Gbps Internet speed. ACT Fibernet will offer high speeds with 1TB FUP in Hyderabad at ₹5999. It also plans to extend the internet services to 10 other Indian cities soon.
