Virtual reality is no longer just a buzzword in tech circles. The general public as well is going all out to experience a virtual world in front of their eyes. This trend was evident from the sale of the Oneplus Loop VR Headset on Amazon; which was sold out in almost the blink of an eye.
The sale started at 12 pm on Friday and before the clock could tick to 12:01, approximately all 30,000 headsets were sold out.
A Tech 2 report noted that when consumers tried to order the headset at 12:15 pm, the order was automatically added to a waiting list.
Second chance awaits on June 7
However, those who missed their chance to buy the Oneplus Loop VR Headset today can cheer up as a second similar sale has been announced on June 7, which would start at 12 pm as well. Keep in mind, users will have to register with Amazon to make the purchase.
The VR headset is compatible with most phones with a screen size of 5 or 6 inches and gives a 100-degree field of view with an Orthoscopic Lens, which converges or scatters light rays and lower the degree of distortion.
The weight of the headset is 356 grams, which is designed to lower the weight on the user's head.
