Jio updates data plans Here are all the changes

Jio has been updating its data plans and offering cashback for Diwali, and now starting today it has announced another change to its most talked-about Rs 399 data plan and some others.

Starting today, the Rs 399 plan will be priced at Rs 459. The price hike in tariff won't mean any change to the plan offered.

The data plan will offer 1GB 4G data per day for 84 days and unlimited calls and bundled SMS. It will also offer subscription to Jio apps. On the other hand, the Rs 399 plan will now bring 1GB data per day, but the validity period will be 70 days. These changes are effective starting today.

On the other hand, Jio has increased the data it offers with the Rs 149 prepaid pack, offering 4GB instead of 2GB data along with the 28 days validity and other details remain unchanged.

The company had recently announced cashback offer with the Rs 399 plan that ended yesterday, that offered eight vouchers each worth Rs 50.

The company has also reduced the benefit under other plans. The Rs 509 plan will now come with reduced validity period of 49 days instead of 56 days. The plan offered 2GB data per day. Similarly, the Rs 999 plan that offered 90GB of 4G data will now offer 60GB data for three months. There's the ne Rs 1999 plan that comes with a validity of six months and 125GB at unrestricted speed.

The Rs 4999 plan introduced to offer 380GB data for 210 days without any restriction in the data speed. However, it will now offer 350GB data now valid for one year.

Meanwhile, Vodafone recently announced its new Rs 399 plan that brings unlimited calls (local STD) and 90GB 4G data at Rs 399, with a validity period of six months. However, this plan would vary depending upon the circle. It is available for Vodafone prepaid users. In some circles, it could be 84GB data for 84 days, and not 90GB.

Competing with Jio's Rs 399 plan that was updated recently, Airtel introduced 1GB 4G data per day along with unlimited calls (local and STD) at Rs 399. However, it isn't available for all. So, prepaid users will have to check for eligibility.
