Jio effect: Reliance Communications announces new plan at Rs 299
- RCom has announced new Rs 299 rental plan.
- Jio had updated some of its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans.
- Users will get unlimited data, voice calls and texts.
Joining the likes of Vodafone, Airtel and BSNL, Reliance Communications has now jumped onto the bandwagon to put forth attractive offers and combat Reliance Jio. RCom has announced new Rs 299 rental plan.
What comes via RCom's official twitter handle doesn't reveal much about the plan, but we do know that users will get unlimited data, voice calls and texts.
The tweet reads that it is the lowest monthly rental, but there is no word on the validity or per day data limit. Besides, it also has the Rozana plan that will get you 1GB data per day and 30 minutes unlimited calling per day at Rs 193.
Recently, Jio had updated some of its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans. One of the key changes were brought to the Rs 399 plan that was updated to offer 84 days of validity over the 28 days it offered earlier with 1GB/day cap. The data has also been increased to 84GB. This means, users now get 84GB data for 84 days with a 1GB cap per day and free voice calls.
Jio vs Airtel vs Vodafone vs Aircel: The best 84GB 4G data plan with free calls
At Rs 244, Vodafone has announced new plans that will offer users 70GB of 4G data that will be valid for 70 days. It also brings unlimited local and STD calls. However, the 70 days validity is available for only the first recharge, post that the validity will be 35 days.
For pre-paid users only, Airtel has announced 84GB of 4G data with a validity of 84 days at just Rs 449. Interestingly, there is another offer that also gives 84GB data for 84 day, but a lesser price of Rs 293. If you are wondering why both plans offering 84GB data are selling at different price points, then here's what makes the difference. The Rs 499 plan also brings unlimited local and STD calls to all numbers while the Rs 293 plan with the calls will be limited.
