Jio effect: From 1 August, Airtel will let you carry forward unused data

Here's some good news for all Airtel users. In order to compete with arch-rival Jio, the company has now announced that starting 1 August, 2017 users will be able to carry forward the unused data to the next billing cycle.
Airtel will allow its postpaid users to carry forward up to 200GB data. This data carried forward can be tracked on the MyAirtel app. This move is to improve customer experience and a part of the company's new program - Project Next.

According to a report in the Economic Times, Airtel plans to invest Rs 2000 crore over the next three years to launch digital initiatives, and eventually improve customer experience. Under these initiatives, Airtel is said to be conducting commercial VoLTE trials in metros.
Meanwhile, Jio has updated its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans for both postpaid and prepaid users. For instance, the Rs 309 and Rs 349 data plans have been updated to offer a validity of 56 days, from 28 days that was available earlier. Both offer unlimited voice calls, text. The Rs 309 recharge will bring to you 56GB data increased from 28GB earlier, and a cap of 1GB/day. At Rs 349, users will get 10 + 10GB data without any cap on daily usage.
