Smartphone design and features have been reaching stagnancy, of sorts. While we saw the hardware evolve over the years, companies have begun focussing on software and now LG brings another unique and interesting feature.

The LG K7i smartphone has been announced for India that brings the innovative Mosquito away technology. Announced at the ongoing India Mobile Congress in Delhi, the budget smartphone's this unique technology is said to be safe for humans.

It uses ultrasonic technology that when activated will keep mosquitoes away. Also, LG's proprietary technology is claimed to be silent and odourless.

In terms of specs, the LG K7i sports a 5-inch display, powered by quad-core processor and coupled with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB onboard storage and microSD card support, and comes fuelled by a 2500mAh battery.

On the camera front, one can expect an 8MP rear snapper and a 5MP front camera. It runs Android Marshmallow and the connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio.

Priced at Rs 7,990, the smartphone will be available across retail outlets in the country.
