Google acquires four-month-old Bengaluru startup

Google acquires Bangalore based AI startup

Google has acquired Bengaluru-based Halli Labs. Its website reads, "We are excited to share that the Halli Labs team is joining Google!"

This startup is said to be about four months old, according to a report by Gadgets360. The startup builds solutions that focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning. 

"Halli Labs was founded with the goal of applying modern AI and ML techniques to old problems and domains — in order to help technology enable people to do whatever it is that they want to do, easier and better," the team wrote in a post. 

The team will join Google's initiative that aims at helping the next billion users in India get online. "We will be joining Google’s Next Billion Users team to help get more technology and information into more people’s hands around the world," the team further said. So, Google has many services to help users and some of these are to improve translation and voice recognition, adds the report. 

The team includes Pankaj Gupta and Pradhuman Jhala, who earlier worked with Stayzilla, as per report. The Halli Labs are said to be working on products involving speed recognition, natural language processing.
