Flipkart appoints a new CEO, but only for a day

Flipkart held competitions under Big10 across the country to choose one employee who would become the CEO for a day. The competition included penning down 'why they wanted to head the company' from a office corner. Bangalore's Padmini Pagadala has bagged the opportunity to become the CEO for a day by winning the competition. according to Moneycontrol, Bangalore-based Pagadala, is the associate director, design. 

Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy tweeted, "Excited to hand over the reins of @Flipkart to #CEOForADay, Padmini Pagadala!" According to the report, Pagadala's day starts with breakfast with  Krishnamurthy, whom she will accompany to stakeholder meetings, and other other key meetings through the day. 

It was just recently that Flipkart closed its latest funding round, which is a massive 1.4 billion from technology giants including Tencent, eBay and Microsoft. It is said to be the largest investment in Flipkart’s 10-year history as well as in India’s Internet sector. 

That’s not all! The e-commerce firm has acquired eBay India, which comes as a part of the deal. It’s dubbed as a strategic commercial agreement. And, there is no denying that the Flipkart Group brings benefits galore for customers and sellers on both Flipkart and eBay.
