Flagged off by Ratan Tata in Bengaluru, TeamIndus has launched Moonshot Wheels that will carry 16 science experiments, live satellite tracking, Moon rover, Spacecraft scaled model and an experience zone.

So, Moonshot Wheels is a bus that will traverse 11 states, 12500 kms in 12 months, across India impacting more than 36000 students in government schools. It will give the opportunity to experience and understand the making of a Space Mission and its underlying technologies to each child.

It will also let them interact with rocket scientists and the rest of the team behind India’s first private Moon Mission. Moonshot Wheels has a Moonshot Capsule that will be filled with the aspirations of the children the bus meets on its journey. And these aspirations will then fly aboard the TeamIndus Spacecraft as a metaphor of how their lives can take flight.

Moonshot Wheels is conceptualised under #HarIndianKaMoonshot, a campaign to bring every Indian on board the historic private Moon Mission. The programs run by the TeamIndus Foundation are designed to take this mission to every Indian. It will drive interest in science and technology and inspire a generation of youngsters to believe in themselves.

“Agastya International Foundation is delighted to partner with TeamIndus Foundation on this exciting and unique space education program! What makes this program special is that it targets children and school teachers from under-served communities, closely aligning with Agastya's vision”, said Mr. Ramji Raghavan, Founder and Chairman of Agastya International Foundation.

“Moonshot Wheels is an important manifestation of our commitment to making this Mission, #HarIndianKaMoonshot,” said Rahul Narayan, Fleet Commander of TeamIndus. “Our foundation will continue initiatives like this and Lab2Moon to ignite passion for STEM in the next generation.”

Combining immersive learning experiences and interactions with scientists and engineers, Moonshot Wheels is expected to create a lasting impact and inspire the next generation of Creators, Innovators and Change makers.
