Jio effect: Airtel offers 84GB 4G data for 84 days; 1000GB bonus data for broadband

FollowAirtel is ready to combat Jio with its new data plan for mobile users. This offer brings whopping 84GB data for 84 days. Airtel has a new Rs 399 data plan. It offers 1GB data per day for 84 days, along with unlimited local and STD calls on all networks.
This offer is available for prepaid users with a 4G-enabled device. The plan is available for special, commercial or enterprise purposes, and users can club it with their existing plans. Besides, Airtel also offers Rs 244 plan with 1GB data per day with unlimited calls on the Airtel network for 70 days.
Jio is known to enter the broadband segment and likely to introduce yet another wave of disruptive pricing. To combat Jio's next move, Airtel has announced new bonus data offer of 1000GB additional data for its broadband users.Â
Airtel's list of plans includes the Rs 899 data plan that will give you 60GB of data per month, along with it; you will also get 500GB data for the year. Then, the Rs 1099 plan will offer 100GB data per month and 1000GB bonus data. Both plans will come with 40Mbps speed.
There's the Rs 1299 plan that brings 130GB data per month, and along with it 1000GB bonus data. This plan will offer 100Mbps speed. Similarly, users can expect 1000GB bonus data with its Rs 1499 plan that offers 160GB data and Rs 1799 plan offering 225GB data.
Recently, Jio had updated some of its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans. One of the key changes were brought to the Rs 399 plan that was updated to offer 84 days of validity over the 28 days it offered earlier with 1GB/day cap. The data has also been increased to 84GB. This means, users now get 84GB data for 84 days with a 1GB cap per day and free voice calls. This something Airtel plans to combat with its almost similar Rs 399 plan.
Vodafone has also announced a similar offer dubbed Campus Survival kit. Priced at Rs 445, the offer brings students voice calls, 1GB per day of 3G/4G data for 84 days, and also discount coupons and a messenger bag free. After the expiry of 84 days, the subsequent recharges will cost you Rs 352. It will be made available only for new connections.
