The Tamil Nadu School education Department is likely to declare the SSLC class 10 results on May 19 at around 10 am. The results will be published in the official website of Tamil Nadu school education department and the results website of the Directorate of Government Examinations, Government of Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, the education department had declared the class 12 examination results last week. 

The department, last week, said that it would not name the top three scorers in order to reduce the pressure of performance on the students. Thus, the class 10, 12 and the HSC results were declared without naming the top three rank holders' name. 

The overall pass percentage in the HSC exams last week were 92.1 percent. A total of 8,93,262 students had appeared for the exams held in March this year. Moreover, a transgender student had also cleared the exams. With a 94.5% pass percentage, girls outscored the boys whose pass percent was 89.3 per cent. According to reports, 8,301 students scored centum in Commerce and 3,656 students achieved similar feat in Mathematics.
