Tamil Nadu CM K Palaniswami says people will teach Opposition parties 'a lesson'

FollowDismissing opposition's criticism that there was no governance in Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister K Palaniswami said the AIADMK government was focused on implementing various welfare schemes and people would take care of those who blocked the schemes.
"We are running the government for the welfare of the people and for implementing schemes that took care of the people's welfare. If they stand in the way..People will teach them a lesson," he said. Addressing a function here to celebrate the centenary of ruling AIADMK founder late M G Ramachandran, he charged the opposition parties with spreading lies about the government.

Recalling their contributions to the growth of the region, the Chief Minister said it was MGR who inaugurated the unit of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd. It was again then chief minister J Jayalalithaa who formed the new the Karur district in 1995, he said.
Taking a dig at former transport minister Senthil Balaji, who is in the camp led by sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dhinakaran, the Chief Minister said now people know what type of person he was. "He brought disgrace to the Karur district... We worked for his victory in Aravakurichi day and night. Now he has betrayed us," he said.
