Non-bailable warrant issued against actor Jai for drunken driving

On September 21, Jai was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and was booked under Sections 185 (driving by a drunken person or by a person under the influence of drugs) of the Motor Vehicles Act and 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) of the Indian Penal Code.
The actor smashed his car into the Adyar Flyover. He was later released on bail. Police suggested cancelling his driving license. Meanwhile, orders were issued for him to appear before the court on September 5. As he failed to appear, IV metropolitan magistrate Abraham Lincoln issued the non-bailable warrant.
