Municipal administrator of Tamil Nadu S P Velumani said that O Panneerselvam was like a brother. He hinted that the two warring factions of AIADMK would soon join hands. Velumani said that DMK did nothing for the development of Tamil Nadu when it was the ruling party in the state.
The municipal administrator of Tamil Nadu, S P Velumani said that the former CM O Panneerselvam was like a brother and that AIADMK's two faction will soon start working together. He also denied that the government had created obstacles for a meeting by Panneerselvam in the city last night. In fact, going ahead Velumani told reporters that there was no truth in the charges and that permission was taken days ahead of the program. He, in turn, blamed certain forces for creating issues.

Showering praises on Panneerselvam, he further added, "OPS (Paneerselvam) is like a brother and the Two Leaves symbol will be retrieved at the earliest and both will work together. This comes days after Chief Minister K Palaniswami said that the two warring factions of AIADMK, which is headed by him and his predecessor Panneerselvam would unite soon.
Velumani also said that when DMK was the ruling party, it did nothing for the benefit of Tamil Nadu, adding that they even failed to tackle the power cut issue then.
