Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off at the end of the first half for petulantly slapping Michael Petrasso, who appeared to have stomped on the Swedish striker's foot intentionally.
LA Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off during his side’s clash with Montreal Impact on Monday after slapping Michael Petrasso on the head.
Montreal winger Michael Petrasso stood on the Swedish striker's foot in the 40th minute of the game, leading Ibrahimovic to lash out and hit him on the face.
Both players then fell to the ground pretending to be injured with the referee unsure as to what had just unfolded.

Petrasso was shown a yellow card for his role in the clash. Montreal dominated the game throughout, registering 23 shots on goal to the Galaxy's seven, but was unable to find a way through the visitors' defence.
