She shared a story of how she got inspired by Goswami after seeing her bowling during the 2005 Asia Cup which was hosted by Pakistan. Imtiaz was the ball picker during the tournament. She also pointed out that her dream came true for playing in the on-going World Cup.

Imtiaz has picked up two wickets so far in the tournament, and she will look ahead to give her best in upcoming matches.

Jhulan Goswami is an inspiration to many players like this. She has the record of taking the highest number of wickets in ODIs so far. Playing in 153 matches, recently Goswami crossed the record of Australia’s Cathryn Fitzpatrick record of 180 wickets. Goswami made her international debut when she was 18 in 2002 against England.
