IPL 2018: CSK captain MS Dhoni finds something 'shocking' about Shane Watson

IPL 2018: CSK captain MS Dhoni finds something 'shocking' about Shane Watson

CSK proved themselves to be “KINGS” with IPL 2018 victory. They showed a brilliant performance against SRH today and chased their total of 178 quite smoothly.

SRH getting 178 on the board was a stiff ask many thought because they have a brilliant bowling attack. CSK where going nowhere when they reached only 20/1 after 5 overs. But they didn't need to go anywhere. Too much experience in the bank and they never panicked. SRH missed the trick of not bowling Shakib to a struggling Watson, and by the time he was brought on, Watson was ready to greet him with a first ball six. SRH interestingly gave Bhuvi a third over in the powerplay, but the sensible heads in the yellow camp chose to play him out knowing they have enough firepower to catch up. Watson upped the ante in the sixth over, and there was no looking back for the Aussie from that point. Rashid Khan, SRH's main weapon, went wicketless and thus the best bowling line-up in IPL history was taken to cleaners. The trophy is now on its way to RA Puram, Chennai.

During the finals at the iconic Wankhede, things weren’t too different as it looked as if the whole stadium was painted in yellow. CSK skipper Dhoni posted a picture of himself with his wife Sakshi and daughter Zinva along with the IPL trophy. Dhoni in the Instagram post thanked the crowd for their support. He praised the Wankhede Stadium crowd in Mumbai who had turned in large numbers wearing the yellow jerseys. He lauded Shane Watson for the shocking innings which won them the title.

Adding further, Dhoni said that his daughter Ziva was not too excited about the IPL trophy; instead, she was excited to run on the lawn. His wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva have seen supporting the CSK skipper in almost every game of the tournament. The final was no different as the mother-daughter duo cheered for the CSK and Dhoni as they triumphed the SRH.
