Security guard found in a pool of blood at Kerala bank
A security personnel was grievously injured when he tried to stop a robbery attempt at a co-operative bank near Venjaramood in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday night once again raising concerns about the safety of financial institutions in the country.

Bank Employees who reached the office on Tuesday morning found Jayachandran, 34, lying unconscious in a pool of blood on the second floor of the building. Jayachandran was immediately rushed to a Medical College hospital.Â

After preliminary investigation, police deduced that Jayachandran may have been hacked while resisting a robbery attempt. Â

Of late, the security at banks and ATM kiosks in the state has turned out to be a cause of major concern after a number of security guards have been overpowered by burglars.Â
