Malayalee killed in Pampore terrorist strike

 A Malayalee Sub Inspector is among the eight CRPF men killed in Saturday's the terrorist strike at Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir. 

 

Jayachandran Nair, a native of Thiruvananthapuram was identified as one among the CRPF men killed in the terrorist attack on military vehicle on Saturday. Nair is survived by his wife Sindhu, a private school teacher, and two daughters. 

 

The body of the soldier is likely to be flown into Thiruvananthapuram by Sunday evening.

 

Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba has claimed responsibility for the terror strike which is considered as the worst attack in Jammu and Kashmir in the past three years. Twenty-three soldier were critically injured in the ambush. Two terrorists were also killed in retaliatory firing. The hunt is on for two men who led the militants to spot. 

 

The CRPF jawans were returning from a practice session in Srinagar when their bus came under a surprise attack.
