There is, however, more bad news in store. According to the Meteorological department Director Sunder M Methri, the temperature is expected to cross 40 degree Celsius in Bengaluru.

Bringing much-needed respite, some parts of the city experienced light rain and thunderstorm on Monday, 25 April.
