 Holenarasipura: A new vehicle has been designed for the JD(S) party to campaign during Karnataka Elections 2018. The hunt for votes has started from April 12. JD(S) leader, Bhavani Revanna, will be using this vehicle to campaign on behalf of her husband in this JD(S)-stronghold. The vehicle holds the JD(S)'s symbol, colour and a picture of H D Devegowda, H D Kumaraswamy and Revanna. This vehicle has got an open roof on top to stand and campaign. Bahubali or Gommateshwara is the second son of Adinatha, the first teerthankara and a revered figure among the Jains. The celebrations include anointing of the 1035-year-old Gommateshwara statue — the largest monolithic statue in the world, standing atop the Vindhyagiri mountain. The celebrations take place over a month. This is the 89th anointing (Mahamastakabhishekam) of Bahubali.
