Thiruvananthapuram to host CSK's home games

After the two-year ban of CSK, Thiruvananthapuram may host some matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the wake of the agitation currently on in Tamil Nadu for the setting up of Cauvery Management Board.

Some of the home games of Chennai Super Kings may be hosted at the Greenfield Stadium, Karyavattom in Kerala. The first match in Chennai was slated to be held at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chepauk on April 10.

The BCCI conducted long discussions with the office-bearers of Kerala Cricket Association regarding venues.

KCA Secretary Jayesh George clarified that the Association has informed BCCI that it is ready to host the matches at Greenfield stadium. Jayesh also said that the decision regarding the venue will be taken within three days.

The Chepauk stadium is scheduled to host seven matches from April 10 to May 20. If the venue is changed, all these matches will be held at Greenfield Stadium, Karyavattom
