[Watch] Dubai in the eyes of a Malayalee

The video pans into a street, which is dazzling with night light. The Azaan, the warmth in an Arabic greeting and the vibrant night life make for a colourful Dubai that catches the attention of every tourist instantly. But, for a resident Malayalee, Dubai means a lot more than the Burj Khalifa. This adventure-struck youngster, in his video, talks about sports and tourist spots he has been to, not to forget the few secret escapades that are allegedly "known only to the locals". 

We have known Malayalees as entrepreneurs in the city, but this video introduces us to the adventurous spirit of a Malayalee. "I think my life is interesting. I have been to several places in the city, which no one has been to. What a better way to say 'Thank You' to my favourite city in the world," he says. This tells us much about the other aspect of the city, much different from its socio-political scenario which is often being highlighted in the media. In fact, this video gives its audience a leeway from the otherwise dark and sordid realities of the Indian labour class there. 

Going further, the youngster explores the culture, the food and the plush shopping malls of the city, giving an impression of the way a few Malayalees live in Dubai. Although the youngster is on cloud 9' literally, he is very much grounded in reality. The video below shows him well-updated about the recent happenings in the city. He is also seen condemning a particular case of molestation and considers it a "cowardly" act. Kudos to this enlightened Malayalee who has taken the community a notch higher with his captivating videos and the message accompanying them.
