You don't even need a passport to visit these countries!

  • Turkey and Ukraine have signed an agreement, which will allow their citizens to travel without passport.
  • For 90 days stay, citizens of these countries only need to show their national id cards.
  • Indians can only travel to Nepal and Bhutan without a passport.

Now the citizens of Turkey and Ukraine can travel without passport into each other's country, the Turkish dailies have reported. 

Ankara and Kiev have reached an agreement that will allow the citizens of these countries to travel to each others country for 90 days.

"Both countries will benefit from this agreement," Andrii Sybiha, Kiev's ambassador in Ankara told reporters at Ankara’s Esenboga Airport. The first group of Ukrainian citizens for the first time entered the country by showing only their national ID cards.

"Last year, more than one million tourists came from Ukraine to Turkey. More than 200,000 Turkish tourists travelled to Ukraine. Thanks to this agreement, we expect a 30 percent increase in these numbers this year," he added.

Under the accord between the two countries, citizens of both countries just to have to show their national ID cards for stays of up to 90 days.

At present Indian citizens if they are travelling by road, then they can travel to Nepal and Bhutan without passport. However, if you are travelling by air then one must carry the passport along.
