Kerala woman found dead in Dubai flat, husband attempts suicide

A newly married Kerala woman was found dead at her apartment in Dubai, while her husband has been hospitalised in critical condition after he attempted suicide. 

The woman was found hanging in the bedroom. It is suspected that the couple had an argument and the woman killed herself, following which the husband tried to commit suicide by cutting his veins. However, the neighbours rushed him to the hospital. 

The incident happened at the Deira area in the city last week. The couple, who hails from Thiruvananthapuram, had moved to Dubai only recently.

The police have refused to reveal more details about the incident, and are awaiting the woman's post-mortem report.
