When India was celebrating its 68th Republic Day on Thursday, an Indian woman with three daughters was kept waiting at a Sharjah hospital to claim her husband’s body. Marilyn Stanislaus lost her husband on January 18, 2017. They have been only waiting for the hospital to release Dominic’s (her husband) body so that they can cremate him at St. Michael’s Church in Sharjah.

"For the past one week I have been trying to get his body released from the hospital," Marilyn told Khaleej Times.

Apparently, Marilyn has to pay 30,000 dirhams to claim his body. However, the total bill was Dh 1,00,000 but it was brought down to Dh 50,000 because Dominic’s health card was still valid.
