This Dubai man, however, has now set the bar really high on how much planning and money one should splurge for proposing someone.

According to a report published in The Independent, a property developer in Dubai spent a whopping DH1 million (over Rs 18-crore) on his girlfriend.
The wedding proposal planners,The Proposers. said that the proposal cost GBP 150,000 to plan and another GBP 70,000 on top of that for a one-minute appearance of a celebrity in a video that was played during the proposal.
“I spent about £20,000 just on the flowers,” The Proposers founder Daisy Amodio told The Independent.
As part of the elaborate proposal plan, the couple went a yacht holiday cruise to the Mediterranean before taking a helicopter to a luxury hotel in the cliffs above Monaco.
The couple walked through an archway to find an oak tree beaming with fairy lights, notes containing reasons why he loved her. The two then sat on a terrace with a view over the Mediterranean, drinking cocktails as they went and being serenaded by a live jazz band. As they got there, a ‘marry me’ sign appeared and the man popped the question.
It was not over yet, the two then walked into a cave set up like a retro cinema hall, where the two then watched a video made by the groom. It had message pouring in from close friends and relatives, including the celebrity.
Next, doors to the cave opened up to a panoramic view, where the couple had dinner while a band played love songs.
