Wow weekend in Dubai: Head to Jumbo to see 250 kg of gold bars, win big

The event is being touted as the world’s largest display of gold bars and will only be for one day. According to Gulf News, the value of the precious metal that will be exhibited is approximately Dh35 million. The event is being organised as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).
Organisers have invited the public to upload selfies taken with the gold display and upload them on Facebook and Instagram under the hashtag jumboisgold. A privileged few among those who upload the selfies will get limited edition solid gold PlayStation 4s, valued at Dh25,000 apiece. DSF organisers are using the event to spread the festival’s popularity on social media.
Jumbo is also running a “shop and win” promotion at all its stores as part of DSF. It is giving away 10gm of gold coins daily and half-a-kg of gold weekly. Explaining that giving away gold at DSF has been a tradition for Jumbo, a company executive told the Gulf News that this year’s attraction would be bigger.
