ajman police ramadan special offer 50 discount traffic fine

The Ajman Police has introduced a 50 per cent reduction in traffic violation fines for one month, as a Ramadan special offer.

The discounted rates for fines will be effective from May 27 till the end of the holy month (June 24). The decision comes under the directives of Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman.

However, the discount is applicable only if fine is paid via the official app of Ajman Police or the home ministry, according to the Khaleej Times.

The reduction will be effective on all violations committed and issued in Ajman before May 21. The decision to reduce the value of fines is a move to encourage erring motorists to pay accumulated fines, the police said.

However, the violations of jumping a red signal and reckless driving will not be eligible for the offer. Also, drivers who added extra accelerators and other non-permitted fittings in cars for more speed and noise will not benefit from the reduction.

"The decision of reducing the value of fines is a motive to encourage erring motorist to pay accumulated fines and is an initiative by the police to ensure the happiness of clients while encouraging them to pay a reduced amount for their fines," said Major General Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdallah Al Nuaimi, Commander in Chief of Ajman Police.
