Abu Dhabi Police has released a video footage of a Pakistani immigrant, disguised himself as a woman, walking into a residential building in the city before raping and killing an 11-year-old boy.

The accused, wearing a burka, lured his sister's stepson away to the rooftop before raping and strangling him with a rope. The police released the blood-curdling video on Saturday, around two weeks after the death was reported.

In the 20-second clip, the man, who is in his mid 20s, can be seen making his way from the street to the building at Muroor Road where the boy lived. The video then shows the accused and the victim entering the elevator before making their way to the roof. The footage also shows the rope that the Pakistani man used to strangle the child to death.

Azan Majid Janjua was reported missing on May 30. His body was found the next day by AC technicians, who went up to the rooftop to check a malfunctioning air duct.

The body was found partially unclothed with his Quran lying beside. The accused was arrested within 48 hours after forensic evidence linked him to the scene of the crime. The accused was aware that the boy would not accompany him if he knew he was a man.
