1. Water Ring Game

This was the hardest game ever played by kids in those days, as it was really a tough task for children to get all the rings in place. The water ring game was a brilliant one because it helped improve one's eye-hand coordination and concentration.

2. Brick Game

The first experience of a video game was the brick game that has become history now. No one felt it was simple in those days, and kids used to compete to each other as to who would finish the bricks faster. 

3. Cap Guns

The loud sound and the puff of smoke released by cap gun really made children very happy. The bang of every shot made kids feel like a film star who would blow the smoke after shooting the villain. 

4. Four Caps

The fortune teller came to your rescue every time you were in trouble, be it exam results or wait for a new toy. Children used four cups to predict your future and solve all problems. 


5. Pop-pop Boats

Pop-pop boats were the biggest attraction every time kids were taken to the market. These boats were powered by a vegetable oil burner or candle, and would make an attractive sound as it moved through the water. This productive toy made kids feel like a captain every time they set out for sail, so to speak.

6. Card Pyramid

Arranging cards like a pyramid, or in a row was one of the most popular games of children. After arranging cards in rows, children used to blow it in an attempt to create designs. They used to compete with each other to know who can create the tallest pyramid. This sensory game was helpful in improving one's concentration.

7. Lakhoti

Lakhoti is a game played with marbles. Usually, it was played by boys. Kids would place some marbles together and try to get each one of them to a target point by hitting it with another marble. They would aim their marble in a particular manner to move their targets as fast as they can. The game had an added benefit too - increase concentration. 

8. Matchbox card collection

Children would collect matchboxes and would make cards out of it. The game is played with two or more players. One player would throw a card and the second one tries to throw his card above the first. If successful, he wins both cards. 

9. Pinwheels

Pinwheels were made from the leaves and stick of coconut. Children would run around as fast as they could to see the wheel spinning. It was an excellent exercise along with fun. 

10. Lattu

Lattus were made from wood in the shape of a turnip with a nail at its rear end, and a cotton thread attached to it. Those who were successful in spinning the lattus, for the longest time would win the game.
