Two arrested for raping, impregnating minor girl after giving alcohol

Kerala police have arrested two persons for sexually assaulting and impregnating a minor girl after intoxicating her by giving alcohol, at Thuravoor near Cherthala. The police are looking for three more persons, including the boyfriend of the victim. 

The arrested are Rajesh, 28, from Valamangalam in Thuravoor and Bina aka Jinadev from Pattanakkad. Three persons have gone into hiding after police registered the case. 

Akhil Krishna, an auto driver from Pattanakkad, befriended the girl almost 18 months ago. He took the minor to different places and sexually assaulted the girl after giving alcohol and promising to marry her. After some time he produced her to four other friends who raped the girl multiple times over a period of one year.

The girl became pregnant and then her mother took her to Ernakulam and sought treatment at Ernakulam Medical Trust Hospital. The hospital authorities grew suspicious and informed police. 

It was during police interrogation that the girl revealed to police about sexual abuse by different persons. Following this, the police filed a case and arrested two persons.
