A photo of a man laying down on the seat of Kochi Metro had gone viral on social media with the caption that he is using up the space of at least three passengers. The picture was shared by a Facebook user Manoj Ravindran Niraksharan with a plea to Metro authorities to take action.

A news portal reported the incident and commented that the Facebook user had written that the "person seems drunk." Another news portal even published the name and whereabouts of the person.

The Facebook user had not called the man a drunkard but had said that he might be ill. However, public will not think about that, but will only repeat the act.

Soon after this, Manorama tried to trace the man and found that he is a native of Kidangoor in Angamaly. The man, Eldo, had boarded Metro after his son asked him for that. "We were returning from Ernakulam after meeting my father's brother at Ernakulam General Hospital. I was the one to force my parents to take a ride on Metro," Basil, son of Eldo said.

He also said that his parents are speech-impaired, and his father was so tired by the time they boarded the train. He was also disturbed by his brother's health condition, and that is why he was laying down. He was not drunk, Basil said.
