This youth loved Argentina football team so much, he allegedly died for the team!

The body of the Dinu Alex, 30-year-old man from Kottayam was found on the banks of the Meenachil River, Illikkal in Kottayam district this morning. 

Dinu was said to be the fan of Argentina football team and star player Lionel Messi who went missing on June 23 after Argentina lost the match to Croatia in the FIFA World Cup. The police and fire force recovered the body during the search operation. His relatives recognised the body after seeing his chain on his body. 

Dinu had written a letter in Malayalam “Nothing is left for me in this world. Nobody is responsible for my death," and had left the note in his bedroom. 

Ever since the note was found, police launched a search for Dinu, in the Meenachil River, as the police sniffer dog had led the search team to the river bed. Due to unfavourable weather, search operations could not take off immediately and began only after the weather changed. 

According to his relatives, Dinu displayed suicidal tendency from his early years. Earlier too, he had gone missing for a few days when he failed in degree examination. He only returned home after passing the exam.
