Relative arrested for sexually assaulting, murdering minor girl in Kollam

Kerala police have arrested a man for sexually assaulting and murdering a minor girl, in Kollam. The arrested is Rajesh who is also a relative of the victim.
The seven-year-old went missing from near her school, in Anchal, on Wednesday on the way to tuition. Her body was found from a building used for processing rubber at Kulathupuzha about 20 km from the school.
The accused confessed that he had sexually assaulted the child before murdering her.
The relatives filed a police complaint as the child did not appear for the tuition or returned home on time. The child was seen with Rajesh at a nearby bus stop, and the CCTV footage from a building proved this.
Following this police took Rajesh under custody from Kulathupuzha. The body was found during the search conducted on the basis of information given by the accused.
