The video was shot at the St Joseph's Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Pala near Kottayam. It shows a priest, who is part of the college management, asking the male students to blow into a breathalyzer to see if they are drunk as its Onam season.

As one student tries to skip the test, the priest can be heard being a little harsh on him and making him blow into the device.

Needless to say, the gig inspired a lot of laughs. One of the comments on an Instagram post of the video said the level of alcohol in the priest’s blood should be checked first.

Onam is a time when alcohol consumption in the state peaks. Liquor sales during this year's Onam season touched a record high of Rs 440.6 crore, up from Rs 411.14 crore during the previous year.
