Cop, who helped Pulsar Suni in jail, suspended

PK Aneesh, a civil police officer attached to the AR Camp in Kalamassery, has been suspended from duty for assisting Suni in getting in touch with Dileep and for destroying evidence.Â

Aneesh, who stood guard at Suni's cell at the Kakkanad jail, reportedly gave his phone to Suni to make calls to Nadirshah and Dileep's manager Appunni. Apart from this, Aneesh had also passed on Suni’s voice message to Dileep's phone.
Several calls were also made from Aneesh’s phone to the Kakkanad office of Laksyah, the online clothing store owned by Dileep’s wife Kavya Madhavan.

Aneesh, charged as the 14th accused, then destroyed the SIM card which was used to make the calls. He was arrested for the same charges on Saturday and later let off on bail.
The action was initiated based on a report that the probe team submitted to the Ernakulam rural SP. Earlier, a departmental inquiry was recommended against Aneesh after findings that pointed towards him assisting an accused in judicial custody.
