Harassment case against 'Honey Bee' director Jean Paul Lal, actor Sreenath Bhasi on actress' complaint

The police have registered a case against director Jean Paul Lal, actor Sreenath Bhasi and two others on charges, including cheating and sexual harassment, after receiving a complaint from an actress.
The Kochi police filed a case against Jean Paul, Sreenath and film technicians Anoop and Anirudh based on the complaint lodged against them at the Panagandu station by an actress who had worked with them in a film last year.
The incident happened at a hotel in Panagandu, Kochi in November 2016 during the shoot of Honey Bee 2. In her complaint, the actress says she was not given the promised remuneration for her work. And when she asked for it, the accused passed some lewd comments against her, including sexually explicit remarks.
The actress's statement was recorded by the InfoPark CI on Monday. The police will question all accused later today.
Jean Paul is the son of filmmaker-turned-actor Lal and has directed several films such as Honey Bee, Honey Bee 2 and I Am Tony. Sreenath is an young actor, best known for his roles in Da Thadiya and Jacobinte Swargarajyam.
