Director Nadirshah, who was hospitalised after he felt unwell during police interrogation on Friday morning, has expressed his willingness to appear for questioning later in the day.

However, the Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the Kochi actress attack case, have decided not to question Nadirshah again today and informed him that he will be called to the Aluva police club another time.

Nadirshah had appeared before the probe team at the police club around 10 am. However, his blood pressure shot up immediately after interrogation procedures, while his blood sugar also fell considerably.

A medical team examined Nadirshah and informed the police that the director's health condition is not ideal and he cannot be questioned. Following this, the interrogation was put on hold and Nadirshah was allowed to visit a hospital.

Later, Nadirshah informed the police that he is ready to appear before the investigators anytime after 4 pm as his health has improved. However, the probe team has decided not to throw caution to the wind.

Some reports claim the situation has given Nadirshah time to prepare and present his answers better for the questions he was asked on Friday.

Though the police can question Nadirshah, they cannot arrest him till the High Court’s verdict on his anticipatory bail plea, scheduled for hearing on September 18.
