Actress Manju Warrier has been named the second witness in the second chargesheet filed by the Kerala police in the actress attack case. The second chargesheet was filed in the case related to conspiracy in the incident.
There were reports that the attack was planned after doubt that the actress had a role in the divorce between Dileep and Manju Warrier. The assaulted actress had on the other day issued a press release in which she had mentioned that some personal issues tampered her friendship with the actor. She also clarified that they are not partners in any land or financial deals.

There were rumours that it was the assaulted actress who told Manju Warrier about Dileep's alleged relationship with Kavya. Dileep was also accused of plotting to keep the attacked actress away from Malayalam cinema. The actress, during an interview, had said that a prominent actor made sure that she does not get chances in Malayalam cinema.
A Special team probing actress attack case took the statement of Manju Warrier even before the arrest of Dileep. Soon after that, police interrogated Dileep and his friend and director Nadirshah for 13 hours, and this led to the arrest of the actor.
