A Keralite nurse, who was working with a government hospital in Saudi Arabia, has been found dead in her hostel.

The victim has been identified as Muvattupuzha native Jincy Mathai, 26. She was found dead in the washroom of her hospital's staff hostel in the Al Qassim region. She is suspected to have suffered a cardiac arrest.

Jincy was reportedly chatting with her hostel roommate till 10 am on Monday, after which she went to take a shower. However, she didn’t come out of the washroom even after a couple of hours.

As there was no response, her roommate called up the hospital authorities, who in turn informed the police. The cops arrived and broke open the door to find Jinsi lying on the floor unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead.

Jincy is the daughter of Mathai and Jolly, who hail from Koothattukulam and settled in Delhi. She was employed with the Saudi health ministry and was working with a dispensary in Quiba.

The body will be flown home after formalities. The funeral will take place at the St Peter's and St Paul's Orthodox Church in Kolenchery.
