- The goons, who were drinking at the beer parlour, turned violent and assaulted the crew
- Producer Maha Subair sustained injuries to his head and ear in the attack
Producer Maha Subair, production executive Badushah and hotel security guard Prakash were injured when a group attacked them at the beep parlour of a prominent hotel in the city on Tuesday night.
Badushah said the goons, who were drinking at the beer parlour, turned violent and assaulted them with a 'no parking' board. Subair sustained injuries to his head and ear, while Prakash suffered severe blows to his head. Both have been admitted to Medical Trust Hospital.
The police have arrested 14 persons who were involved in the tussle but Sanish, who is the main accused, is still absconding.
Subair, who has produced several films including Meesha Madhavan, Manassinakkare, was at the hotel to meet the production crew of his upcoming film Aakasha Mittayi, starring Jayaram.
The assault on the producer comes as another shocker to Kochi, where a popular Malayalam actress was sexually abused in a moving car last month.
